The April 15th income tax filing deadline is Tuesday and the Minnesota Department of Revenue is reminding you to file your tax return on-time.
The department encourages individual taxpayers to electronically file (e-file) their tax returns and choose direct deposit.
Electronic filing is the best way to reduce errors in your return. People that e-file and choose direct deposit receive refunds much faster than those who paper file.
You can choose to have your tax refund deposited directly into your bank account for free, whether you file taxes on paper or electronically. All you need to do is select "direct deposit of your refund" when filing your income tax return.
If you still need to file, a list of software products for electronic filing is on the department of Revenue's website.....
