The Foundation for Winona Public Schools' Gala held last month raised over $46,000.
The Foundation says the funds will be used for purchase of mobile technology to continue to enrich and expand educational opportunities for students and faculty.
The Foundation's Legacy Award was presented posthumously to Richard "Dick" Kolter, a district math teacher to honor the approximately $3,000,000 he bequeathed to the school district that was used for construction of the new Kolter Math and Science Wing.

Accepting the award was Kolter's friend Jim Miller. The plaque will be on display at the entrance to the new addition.

The March 15th Gala event was entitled "An Evening in Tuscany."
