Rushford officials are still waiting to learn when the Highway 43 reconstruction project in their city will begin.
The city clerk told Winona Radio News the project remains in the engineering phase and no start date has been announced by the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Bids for the 3-million dollar project are slated to be opened, and a contract awarded, sometime during the first ten days of May.
The project is slated to begin sometime in May and end in the fall.
Highway 43 is also Rushford's Main Street which means the street will be closed for the duration of the project impacting some local businesses.
Detours will be in place.
