Winona State Softball Team Back in National Rankings



The Winona State softball team has moved back into the national rankings this week after sweeping NSIC leader Minnesota State-Mankato on Tuesday.  The Warriors are ranked 25th this week and they are riding a ten-game winning streak.   The first Central Region rankings were released on Wednesday and Winona State is ranked fifth in the initial rankings.    Minnesota State-Mankato is number one in the rankings followed by Emporia State and Augustana.  NSIC foe Wayne State is right behind the Warriors in the rankings at number six.  The top eight teams in the regional rankings at the end of the year qualify for the Central Region Tournament.
