WAPS-Contract Talks

The Winona Area Public School Board will be asked next Tuesday to ratify a contract settlement with a second district union.

A tentative agreement has been reached with the Plant Operation and Maintenance Union for a 6 1/2 percent salary increase stretched out over three years.          
The contract s retroactive to July First of 2013 and also covers the 2014-15 and 2015-16 school years.

Union members get a 2-percent salary increase in each of  the first two years and a two and a-half percent increase in the third year.

It's the same salary agreement the district reached with the Education Assistants union earlier.

The school board meets Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

A mediation session between the district and the teacher's union will take place on Wednesday, April 23rd at City Hall....
