If you are planning to head to the Twin Cities by way of Highway 52 north of Rochester, you may run into traffic delays.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says Highway 52 at Cannon Falls will have single-lane traffic in both directions.
That's because work is beginning on a major quadrant intersection construction project at Cannon Falls costing 6.7 million dollars.
The lane closures are expected to be in place about six weeks. Motorists will still have access to County Road Nine in that area.
The long-awaited intersection upgrade is expected to be completed in November.
