SMIF Grants

The Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) recently approved five grants totaling over $87,000 to support early childhood and entrepreneur projects within southern Minnesota.
Included in the grants, $20,000 to Winona State University Children's Center to provide a teacher with early childhood special education credentials.
Also, $20,000 to Rushford-Peterson Valley Brand Council to develop a brand to promote the valley's entrepreneurial opportunities for new/expanding businesses, designed to strengthen and grow the business community.
Since 1986, the Foundation has provided over $24 million in grants to create economic vitality throughout south central and southeastern Minnesota.
