Online Lottery Game

The Minnesota State Lottery is being challenged for starting online lottery games without legislative approval.

The Minnesota House debated a bill Thursday that would ban online state lottery games which Republican Greg Davids of Preston calls a massive expansion of gambling.

Davids says the lottery misinterpreted the law that established the lottery in the state and should not have established the online games unilaterally.

Davids says he is concerned that without proper security, underage kids could misuse their parents credit cards or play the games without oversight.
