The Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona will be getting a new addition.
Museum officials announced Sunday a 1.9 million dollar new addition is under construction and will house the museum's Hudson River School paintings.
It will be some 4,000 square feet in size and follows the completion last fall of another new addition, the Barb and Steve Slaggie Family Gallery, that was constructed at a cost of about 1.1 million dollars.
A Detroit couple, Richard and Jane Manoogian has donated $500,000 for the new wing over five years. The museum supporters have provided the remaining funds,
The new addition is being designed by local Architect Owen Warneke. It's expected to be completed next fall.
