Cotter Schools have announced a very successful ending to the 35th Annual Cotter Auction.
With the help of many supporters, Cotter raised $136,500 which is the largest amount raised in all 35 years that the Auction has been held. The proceeds help to ensure the viability and success of Cotter each year.
Among the highlights of the evening was the 2014 Fund -A- Need, held during the live auction, where $57,000 was raised to equip all 7th and 8th grade students with individual one to one technology. These devices will be integrated in all aspects of teaching and learning at Cotter Junior High starting in the 2014- 2014 school year, allowing teachers and students the ability to take advantage of the type of enhanced learning that one-to-one digital technology makes possible.
In addition, another $18,500 was raised through the annual Cotter Raffle. The Cotter Raffle will continue to choose monthly winners from May to December 2014.
Plans are already being made for the 36th Annual Cotter auction to be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2015.
