A Winona Health Intensive Care Unit nurse has received the Caregiver of the Year Award from the Minnesota Hospital Association.
The Hospital Association also produced a brief video about Helen Bagshaw that was shown during the event.
Bagshaw joined Winona Health ten years ago after serving as a registered nurse in a large teaching hospital in England. Since then, she has had a positive impact on Winona Health patients, coworkers and the community.
The Care Giver of the Year award recognizes an individual based on these criteria: Outstanding delivery of patient care and participation/leadership in hospital patient services...Participation in activities and practices that help increase patient satisfaction...and Commitment to the hospital and its community through participation in hospital patient care/community improvement efforts.
