State Senator Jeremy Miller says his efforts to re-establish an income tax reciprocity  agreement with Wisconsin are still alive as the legislature begins to wind down.

Miller says a second tax bill, which is in conference committee now, contains one million dollars to help Minnesota cover a gap in funding with Wisconsin which has been the holdup.

He says he is hopeful the funds will stay in a compromised bill.

If a reciprocity agreement can be reached between the two states, workers who live in one state but work in the other would need to file just one income tax statement instead of two.
