Winona County will hold its annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service on Wednesday, May 14th.
Law Enforcement agencies from Winona County and the city of Winona, along with the Minnesota State Patrol will honor three officers who were killed in the line of duty.
Those honored will include Winona County Deputy John Schneider who lost his life in 1980 and State Patrol Trooper Ted Foss who was killed in a traffic crash in 2000. A third Winona police officer who died in the 1870s will also be honored.
The service will be part of National Law Enforcement Memorial Day and will be held outside the Law Enforcement Center starting at 12:30 p.m.
