Republican State Senator Jeremy Miller says he's hopeful the City of Winona will be getting at least part of the funding it's requested for local projects in the bonding bill.
Miller tells Winona Radio News the Senate's Bonding and Finance Committee's have both passed bills that contain funding for Phase 1 of Winona State's proposed Education Village as well as almost $2,000,000 for Southeast Tech upgrades.
Miller says he voted no on the vote Tuesday concerning the medical marijuana compromise bill that was approved by the Senate. Miller says he needs to see more studies on the effect that law would have.
This compromise bill would allow for legal access to medical marijuana for patients with specific medical conditions under unique and strict regulations. The bill now advances to the House of Representatives.
