Armed Forces Day

Fort McCoy will host the annual Armed Forces Day Open House and the U.S. Army Soldier Show on Saturday, May 17th.

Both events are free and open to the public.

The open house event is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Activities include camouflage-face painting, personalized ID tags, an interactive marksman gallery and guided narrated bus tours.

The post's History Center and Commemorative Area buildings will be open throughout the day, as will the Equipment Park and Veterans Memorial Plaza.
The Army Soldier Show, featuring the musical talent of today's soldiers, will take the stage at 4 p.m. at Rumpel Fitness Center, building 1122.

Off-post visitors should follow posted signs to gain entry to the installation and event sites.
                     Armed Forces Day is celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May to recognize past and present members of the armed forces.
