The Winona County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, May 13th, will appoint an interim county administrator to fill the position that was vacated last week with the firing of Duane Hebert.
Hebert was let go last Tuesday by the board, on a unanimous 5-to-nothing vote, following an independent investigation into a proposed solar wind project.
Assistant County Administrator Maureen Holte has been filling the position on an interim basis since early April when Hebert was placed on administrative leave with pay.
In addition, the board will discuss, during a committee of the board meeting, a classification description for the county administrator position. There has been no word yet on when or if the board will begin a search for a permanent replacement for Hebert who has said he may file a lawsuit against the county.
Also on the board'sagenda is the appointment of new members to the County Economic Development Authority.
The regular meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. at the County Government Center.....
