Miller Conference Committe
Senator Jeremy Miller (R-Winona) has been named to four conference committees as the 2014 legislative session draws to a close.
The conference committees relate to synthetic drugs, property acquisitions by state agencies, school district employee health coverage and the omnibus retirement bill.
Conference committees are named to work out the differences so that bills pass both bodies in the same form. Conference committee reports, which cannot be amended on the Senate or House floors, are the last opportunity for legislators to vote on a bill before it is sent to the governor for his signature.
All four conference committees will continue to meet this week in preparation for the constitutionally obligated adjournment date of May 19th.
