Student Built Home

The public is invited to see a new home constructed by Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical carpentry students during an open house Friday, May 16th, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 p.m.

The newly built home is located in Pickwick Valley, three-fourths of a mile past the Pickwick mill. The ranch-style home features three bedrooms, four bathrooms, large two car garage, with lower single garage/workroom, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and a number of other amenities, including a gas fireplace and wrap around deck with scenic valley views.
Each year carpentry Southeast Tech carpentry students complete a single-story home on a property owner's lot in two semesters giving the students a chance to work with power tools and learn the trade in a practical environment.
