The third of four candidates for the position of vice president for university advancement and executive director of the Winona State University Foundation was interviewed Wednesday.
A public reception was held for John Mosser. Mosser is currently the interim vice president for institutional advancement at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire.
Mosser says for the past two decades he has focused on fundraising and his experience would be a great fit at WSU.
Mosser says he remembers summers in Wisconsin as a child and times spent visiting the Minnesota State Fair. He says Winona's bluffs are beautiful and notes the people are very friendly.
Thursday, Robert Giere, will be in Winona. Giere, since 2004, has been development officer and director of alumni philanthropy at Mayo Clinic.
The candidate who is chosen will replace Gary Evans who has filled the position on an interim basis since Jim Schmidt left to become Chancellor of Wisconsin-Eau Claire last July. It's expected to be announced sometime in June.
