The Winona County Historical Society will host a special event this summer honoring one of Winona's biggest benefactors.
John Latsch Week will be held July 21st through the 26th, and Mayor and Historical Society Executive Director, Mark Peterson, says a number of activities will be held.
Other events, including a beach party on Latsch Island, and an attempt to set a world
record for the most people wearing bow ties, one of Latsch's trademarks, will be held.
Peterson says the Society wants people to learn more about Latsch's Legacy for Winona.
There will also be a chance for someone to win a new Wenonah Canoe.
