Wisconsin regulators are planning to hold a series of meetings with the public to start developing an environmental impact statement for a proposed power line between La Crosse and Dane counties.
American Transmission Company and Northern States Power Company are seeking permission from the Wisconsin Public Service Commission to build the 345-kilovolt line from the town of Onalaska to Middleton.
The line would connect up with the CAPX2020 powerline currently under construction from the Rochester area to Onalaska.
The PSC has invited the public to attend one of six meetings to determine the scope of the project's environmental impact statement. The meetings will include sessions in Cashton on June 3rd, Black River Falls on June 9th; Tomah on June 10th......
