Two important meetings regarding the soon-to-begin Winona Highway 43 Bridge Project are coming up.
Members of the Winona business community will get a chance to meet the construction team for the project at a special meeting next Tuesday, May 20th.
The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Winona History Center. It will be an opportunity for the businesses that have an interest in the project to meet and greet representatives of Ames Construction, the construction manager, general contractor on the project.
Ames' Representative Jerry Volz says several company representatives will be on hand to discuss opportunities for the local businesses to get information on the project and quote some portions of the work.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will also host a community outreach meeting on the project on Thursday, June 19th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Winona History Center.
The project's community goals will be reviewed which were collected at a March 27th pubic meeting. Recommendations for achieving those goals will also be discussed.
Project Manager Terry Ward is encouraging anyone with an interest in the bridge project to attend.
