A Republican candidate has filed to oppose longtime State Representative Gene Pelowski of Winona.
Lynae Hahn filed Monday to run for the seat in House District 28-A.
Hahn says in a press release, the average college student in Minnesota graduates with $30,000 of debt. The tuition increase has to stop. While freezing tuition is a nice gesture, it doesn't solve the problem. We need a long-term solution and I will work for that.
Hahn has worked with the College Republicans Chapter on campus over the past two years and chaired the chapter during the 2013-2014 academic year.
Hahn has been a life-long resident of Southeast Minnesota. She has worked as a Resident Assistant at Winona State University over the past two years while pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a Political Science minor.
