Hope Lutheran senior basketball player Jason Klug has made a decision on his upcoming college basketball career. Klug has decided to continue his playing career at Concordia University of Wisconsin, a NCAA Division III school choosing the Falcons over UW-Stout. Klug says his sister just graduated from Concordia and really liked it and when he visited it just felt right. He also liked the fact that they have a junior varsity squad. He says if he isn't ready to play varsity his first year, he thinks it would be better to play on a junior varsity squad than not play at all.
Klug dominated for Hope Lutheran during his high school career scoring 2,061 points. Hope Lutheran didn’t really play any big schools during his career so he didn’t play against a lot of college level players. Klug feels there will be a small transition stage for him getting used to playing that level of competition. But he says if you can score the basketball, you can score the ball at that level too, you just have to work harder to get your shots.
Jason plans to study sports and entertainment in college and get a minor in accounting. His future goals are to work in a pro sports franchise.
