The new leader of the United Way of the Greater Winona Area says he is looking forward to the opportunity and the challenge to take the organization to a new level.
New Executive Director, and Winona State University graduate, Jeff Bartholomew, says since arriving about a month ago he has met with the CEO's of all 21 agencies funded but the United Way and now wants to focus on raising more money for the non-profits.
Bartholomew is also bringing some changes to the governing structure of the agency.
Bartholomew is looking at revamping the United Way's annual campaign, which starts in the fall, to make it is more visible to the community and more successful.
Bartholomew brings a wealth of fundraising experience to the United Way having raised over 30-million dollars and constructed three new buildings over the last 16 years serving as CEO of YMCA's.
