Turret Tales-WSU

There is a book now available that contains stories from World War Two veterans who flew missions in the B-17 bomber over Europe.

It's title is "Turret Tales...The Story of a World War Two Belly Gunner."

Author Doug Ward wrote the book based on some of his own experiences as a belly gunner in a very cramped location of the plane.

Ward also includes stories from several other veterans.

Ward currently operates the Log Cabin Airport, a small airport near Mondovi, Wisconsin, that is the home of several airplanes and cars that are available for public view.

Ward will be at Winona State University Monday for a presentation on his book and experiences at Krysko Commons at 7:00 p.m.
The presentation is sponsored by the local Max Conrad Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
