Hoffman Construction Company of Black River Falls, has made a request to set special conditions on permits for placement of dredged river sand at project sites in the towns of Nelson and Belvidere.
Hoffman said conditions the company offered to follow were contingent on Buffalo County honoring a zoning permit issued in February for an agricultural land restoration project on property owned by Lonnie and Beth Sass in rural Nelson and a pending permit for a similar project on land owned by Joan Greshik in Belvidere.
The county's land resources zoning committee rescinded the Sass permit earlier in June, a decision quickly overturned due to lack of committee authority in making the ruling.
Complaints from neighboring landowners at the Sass property site led company officials to show up in front of the city council and make plans to attend county zoning meetings.
Hoffman said if anyone had any questions about what the companies were doing they were available to hear concerns and respond to questions.
