Superintendent Scott Hannon will not be the only longtime Winona Area Public School employee retiring this year.
According to the school board's agenda for Thursday night's meeting, Dr. Jack Kaehler, principal at the W-K elementary school has also submitted his retirement notice after 41 years with the district. Like Hannon, Kaehler is also a graduate of Winona High School and has served as principal at other diastrict schools in the past.
Also, according to the agenda, Brad Berzinski will be transferred from the activities director position to take over for Kaehler at W-K. Berzinski will spend 80-percent of his time at W-K and 20-percent as assistant Winona High principal. His salary will be $85,368.
In addition, current Director of Fiscal Affairs Dan Pyan has resigned effective July 17th. With that resignation the administration is recommending the Human Resources Director, Pat Blaisdell, begin working full time as of July First.
