The Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has approved a collective bargaining agreement with the Minnesota State University Association of Administrative & Service Faculty covering the two-year period ending June 30, 2015.
The bargaining association represents nearly 800 non-teaching faculty serving in academic and student services departments such as admissions and advising at the seven state universities.
Negotiators have also reached a tentative agreement with the Minnesota State College Faculty for the two-year period ending June 30, 2015. This proposed agreement will be the subject of a ratification vote by union members which includes over 5,000 faculty members.
No details of the agreements were released. Both unions cover many employees at both Winona State University and Southeast Tech.
Once ratified, the agreements require approval by the Minnesota Legislature before taking effect.
