Flood Stage-Mississippi River

The Mississippi River is above flood stage in some southeastern Minnesota communities including Winona.

The river was about a foot over flood stage Monday in Wabasha which is experiencing some minor flooding. The river was at 12.95 feet where the flood stage is 12-feet. The river at Wabasha is predicted to crest at 13.6 feet on Thursday, June 29th.

At Alma... the river was at 12.29 feet and is expected to crest at 12.8 feet on June 29th.

The Mississippi River is also above the flood stage here in Winona and was at 13.45 feet where the flood stage is 13-feet..  At Winona, the river is predicted to crest at 14.5 feet on Friday, June 30th.  At 13-feet the Priairie Island campground starts to take on water.

The river also continues to threaten some neighborhoods in St. Paul, rising more than 3 feet above flood stage.
High water on the St. Croix River has closed the Stillwater Lift Bridge. Transportation officials say the bridge connecting Minnesota Highway 36 and Wisconsin Highway 64 will be closed to traffic in both directions until further notice.
