Dahl-Site Plan

The Winona City Planning Commission Monday voted unanimously to approve a preliminary site plan submitted by Automotive Enterprises LLC for the relocation of Dahl Chevrolet from the downtown area.

The site is located just west of Dahl Toyota along Highway 61 and is currently occupied by Cornerstone Church.

Dahl Chevrolet is being forced to relocate because its current location is in the right-of-way for the Highway 43 bridge project.

The site plan was approved pending Dahl coming back to the Planning Commission with an updated landscape plan, details on the berm and pond.

Commissioner Wendy Davis said the plan of putting one line of trees up for a neighborhood buffer is not enough.

Andrew Dahl told the commissioners they are going to install L.E.D. lighting that will help address lighting concerns voiced by neighbors and they won’t be turned on all night long.

If the final site plan is approved by the Planning Commission it would then move to the City Council for its approval.

Dahl plans to present a landscape plan to the commission at it’s July 14th meeting. It’s also currently working on a storm drainage plan with the City of Winona.
