Cornerstone Church Move

The Cornerstone Church in Winona has found a new home.

Church spokesman Phil Gaddis tells Winona Radio News the congregation will be moving to the building located at 44th Avenue and Highway 61 in Goodview that currently houses a liquor store.

Gaddis said they have a purchase agreement and will close on the property in mid-July.

The Cornerstone property next to Dahl Toyota is being acquired by Dahl Chevrolet and Gaddis said a closing on that sale will be held next Wednesday.

Gaddis said the Highway 61-44th Avenue property will be renovated and expanded and that is expected to take six to nine months. In the interim, the congregation will meet at the Hoff Funeral Chapel in Goodview.

Gaddis said the congregation is working with local architect Owen Warneke on the design for the renovation and expansion of the new location.

He said the congregation plans a moving party at its current location this Saturday.

Highway 61 Liquors which occupies the building at 44th Avenue will be relocating to the Winona Mall.
