Rochester police are investigating the suspicious death of a 53-year-old Rochester man and are asking the public for help.
The body of Roger Ingalls was found about 7:40 a.m. Monday in the grass near the ball field at Ninth Avenue and Ninth Street Northeast. He was taken to Saint Marys Hospital where he later died.
KTTC-tv reports an autopsy was conducted Tuesday and the police department considers Ingalls' death suspicious and officers continue to investigate the events prior to his death.
Ingalls was last seen about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of River Center in the 1600 block of North Broadway Avenue. A family member said he left a Rochester bar, and was extremely drunk. Witnesses told police that Ingalls was riding a black bicycle and he said he was heading home at that time .
