ORC Industries has announced its Winona Laundry division has been awarded a contract to provide laundry services for Winona Health starting January First. 2015.
Winona Health generates over 700,000 pounds of hospital laundry each year and the contract will provide thousands of hours of work for adults with disabilities.
ORC Industries launched its Winona Laundry operation in 2013 after a successful 1.2 million dollar capital campaign to construct a state of the art commercial healthcare linen management facility.
The facility was built specifically for processing healthcare linens and designed to meet the mot stringent health care regulations.
ORC staff and clients have received extensive training in the pressing of linens and best practices.
ORC Executive Director Julie Foster-Lupkin and Winona Health President and CEO, Rachelle Schultz, said the two organizations are pleased with their shared vision for people with disabilities and in supporting the local economy.
