Fastenal is reporting a 12.1 percent growth in net sales during the second quarter, compared to the same time period last year, totaling 1.8 billion dollars.
The company also reported net earnings of 242-million dollars, an increase of 7.3 percent.
President and CEO Will Oberton told a shareholder's conference call Friday that's good, but not great, news.
Oberton said in the end the company had very good sales momentum in the quarter and hopes to continue that in the future.
The number of Fastenal employees went up by 15-percent over the last year from 15,760 to 18,135 at the end of the second quarter.
The overall number of stores grew by just ten to 2,087.
Fastenal stock was selling today at $44.94 a share...a drop of 2.2 percent.
