Venture capitalists are being invited to a special meeting later this month to get in on the ground floor on developing and marketing a new ice resurfacing technology that could set the ice arena world on fire.
Local inventor Paul van Eijl is continuing the R-and-D phase of his unique Ice Jet that could replace the over 60-year-old Zamboni machine used around the world.
van Eijl has garnered worldwide attention to his invention that can trim ice resurfacing time to one minute from 10-minutes which he says could save arenas as much as $150,000 a year and added ice time.
van Eijl says his machine is not ready for marketing yet. But it will be with enough partners to help him complete final testing and development.
van Eijl says with the worldwide attention he has already received with serious interest from foreign companies wanting to manufacture the machines, He wants to give the Winona area the first crack at their manufacture and creating more local jobs...
The venture capital meeting with van Eijl will take place Wednesday, July 30th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kensington Hotel.
van Eijl believes he is on the right track to turn a 100-million dollar industry on its head.
