The Winona Area School Board Thursday is expected to name a new Winona High School Principal.
According to the board's agenda, candidates for the position were interviewed last Thursday. The new principal will replace Kelly Halvorson who will move to a new position in the fall.
Also on the agenda are several proposed administrative changes for the fall.
With current district finance director Dan Pyan leaving at the end of this week, one of the changes will be to reconfigure the finance position to include the current Controller responsibilities, thereby eliminating the current Controller position.
The district Human Resources position will also be reconfigured adding non-financial duties to the director of human resources and increasing it to full-time.
Other positions within the administration will also be reconfigured.
The board will also hear a presentation from a new group called Power Up Winona, a group looking to establish a community solar energy program in the Winona area.
Thursday's meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
