A special benefit for 4-year old Gavin Quimby of Winona, who is fighting against Leukodystrophy, an often fatal brain disease, will be held this Saturday, at the Winona Elks Club from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Anna Koopman, one of the organizers of the benefit, says Gavin's supporters are hoping to raise funds Saturday for experimental treatments and therapies.
Koopman says among Saturday's highlights, kids activities, a petting zoo, bake sale, live and silent auctions, lunch provided by Steak Shop Catering and the Super Gavin Movie.
All donations of the benefit will be matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutheran's.
