Some Minnesota cities are standing out when it comes to national lists of best places to do business.
Livability.com named Northfield the 2nd-best small town in America. In their report, the website highlights Northfield's amenities, thriving economy, growing population, business expansions, and accelerated income growth.
Another new study released this week named Rochester the second-happiest city in the country, just behind Charlottesville, Virginia. Rochester was the only northern city in America to make the top 10 list from the University of British Columbia and Harvard University
Minnesota received more good economic news. Three Minnesota cities ranked among the top 25 smaller cities in the country to do business and have a career. Mankato ranked third on the national list, followed by Rochester (23rd) and St. Cloud (24th).
The analysis, conducted by Forbes Magazine, considered U.S. cities with populations of less than 250,000. Forbes weighed several factors in making its rankings.....
