Four teenagers have been accused of going on a burglary crime spree in Buffalo County and are facing multiple counts of breaking into businesses in the C-FC and Alma areas.
Felony burglary charges were filed in Buffalo County Circuit Court against 18-year-old Joseph Meyers of Nelson, 18-year-old Tanner Johnson, of Buffalo City, 19-year-old Brandon Ruesgen,and 17-year-old Brett Douglas, both of rural Fountain City.
Criminal complaints filed by Buffalo County District Attorney Thomas Clark listed as many as seven business burglaries and one attempted break-in that occurred over a couple of weeks in July.
The four-some allegedly struck twice at a Alma Rod & Gun Clubhouse and twice at a retail shop by the Alma Marina, according to charges based on investigation reports by the Buffalo County Sheriff's Department.
Other burglaries occurred at Waumandee House Bar, Garden Valley Cooperative, Buffalo City Resort, Lil's Cochrane Inn and Ponderosa Bar in the Town of Lincoln in rural Alma. An attempted burglary happened at a concession stand located by the Buffalo City Ball Field.
The four men were released on $2,500 signature bonds and ordered to appear in court initially on August 6th.
