The Minnesota Department of Transportation says traffic delays can be expected next week on Highway 61 north of La Crescent when a repair project gets underway.
MnDOT says the left lanes of both the north and southbound highway will be closed to traffic from 8:00 a.m. Monday to 4:00 p.m. next Thursday, August 4th, so a portion of the storm drainage system and median curb can be repaired.
The lane closures could cause travel delays with traffic in single lanes for the safety of the work crews and motorists.
Crews will repair a catch basin, which is part of the storm drainage system, so that debris cannot enter the drainage system.
Remember fines in workplaces are now a flat $300 plus court costs.
