Seminary Enrollment



Enrollment at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Winona is one the rise.

The Winona Diocese Newspaper, "The Courier" reports that seven new men have enrolled in the seminary on the St. Mary's University campus this fall bringing the total to 16 seminarians now.

The paper reports that since 1948 the seminary has guided over one thousand  men into the priesthood who have become not only pastors but community leaders.
                    
Father Martin Schaefer, Vice-Rector for the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary told the Courier a thriving seminary is a reflection of a thriving church.
