The public is being reminded that a special meeting will be held Thursday night to address the growing problem of flag burnings on the city's west side.
The session will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the American Legion Club on East Sarnia.
Representatives of the Police Department, along with Second Ward City Councilman Gerry Krage, will be there to update the investigation and to ask the public to help out as authorities continue their search for the person starting the fires on flags that are next to resident's homes.
A 14th flag burning was reported Tuesday at a residence in the 1060 block of West Broadway.
While no injuries have been reported authorities are worried that a home could be started on fire.
Police Chief Paul Bostrack said his department has stepped up patrols in the west end but have no suspects at this time.....
