DWI Patrols

Law enforcement agencies across southeastern Minnesota will be joining forces to step up enforcement of the DWI laws starting Friday and lasting through Labor Day.

Increased patrols will out on the highways during that time to try and educate drivers about drinking and driving.

That includes the Winona, Lewiston and St. Charles police departments, the Winona County Sheriff's Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.
During the last five years 656 people were killed in alcohol-related crashes on Minnesota roads. In 2013 alone, nearly 28,000 motorists were busted for DWI.
