WSU Sturdent Killed

Winona State University student Cody Wozney passed away Wednesday.

The 23-year old Wozney, of La Crosse, was a senior majoring in business.

Karen Johnson, Associate Vice President for Student Life and Development and Dean of Students, encouraged WSU students and employees to offer support to one another. Counseling and support services are available to all members of the WSU community.

Winona Police say Wozney was killed early Wednesday morning when he was struck by a train at the Fifth Street and Jackson Street crossing.
