Real Estate Sales

2014 is being called a positive year for Winona County when it comes to real estate sales but agland sales have been down.
County Recorder Bob Bambenek says the first half of the year saw only a five percent increase in real estate sales when compared to 2013...mostly because of the harsh winter and wet spring.

But now Bambenek says things have been picking up since then with 19 commercial sales being registered which is ahead of last year's pace. Bambenek says the county may see a record by the end of the year.

Bambenek also says there have been no significant tillable agland sales in 2013 or 2014 so far. But he is predicting that could change.

Bambenek says to our south in northern Iowa, there have been six agland sales with prices ranging between $12,000 and $14,000 an acre.
