Rushford Highway Project

Progress is being reported on the project to reconstruct Highway 43-Main Street in Rushford this week.

Gravel is starting to be placed on the roadway from Highway 16 northward. Conduit for new street lights is being installed south of Jesse Street.

In about one to two weeks, concrete work on curb an gutter will be started, followed by the first lift of pavement once it cures.

Coordination with Rushford-Peterson School has been made to ensure that traffic flow is managed. It will be congested on Maple Street once school starts.
Work on the Jesse Street intersection could be starting in two to three weeks. Because there are a lot of utilities in the intersection, it will be a complex part of the project. The contractor will coordinate work with the busineses at that intersection.

The entire project is due to be completed in the fall.
