Winona Police said a 39 year-old Winona man was cited with felony assault charges after authorities responded to a complaint and discovered a narcotics growing operation in his residence.
Police Chief Paul Bostrack said authorities responded to a complaint about 1:00 a.m. Wednesday about a argument between a male and a female in the 200 block of Olmsted Street.
Bostrack said Carl Allan Rhodes was cited with felony counts of assault by strangulation, possession of narcotics, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
He said authorities discovered inside the home a hallucinogenic mushroom growing operation.
A 26-year-old female sustained some minor injuries.
Rhodes was jailed pending a review of the case by the Winona County Attorney's Office.
