Eight weeks into her new position as President of Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical, Dr. Dorothy Duran says the transition has been going well.
Duran told a Winona Radio audience she feels already like Southeast Tech has been a good fit for her.
Duran said one of her top priorities has been to create an initiative to establish more engagement of the college with the community.
Duran says she wants to develop new and more popular programs to attract more students, and eliminate programs that are not responsive to the community.
One new program she is already working on is establishing a new business administration program. Duran said she has had discussions with Winona State University to develop a 2-plus 2 business administration program where students start at SE Tech and finish at WSU.
