A joint Trempealau County Committee will present the findings of its 12-month sand mining study to the public on Wednesday. September 10th.
The Trempealeau County Times reports the health impact study and moratorium committee has spent the last year reviewing the sand mining industry and its impacts on the county and has come up with recommendations.
The one-year moratorium on sand mining in the county is at its end and the county has decided not to renew it.
A draft final copy of the joint committee's report will be available two days before it is presented to the county's board of health and environmental land use committees.
A formal vote on the approval of the study will come on September 8th.
